The Autumn 2010 edition of “Timeout” Magazine is out! Get it while you can (for only 1.5 RO). We get this magazine every season as it’s always full of great (and not so great) reviews of the best restaurants in Oman, tells you what big events are coming up on the social scene and informs you of some fascinating places to visit in Oman. It seems that I’m not the only one who thinks this is a great magazine…
There were quite a few ads for Timeout Magazines from around the world inside Muscat’s edition this fall. If you’ve never read this magazine and you love fine dining in Muscat and the occasional day trip or museum visit, pick up a copy and see what you’re missing!

Hello Andy,
I ran across your blog and you have a lot of good information contained herein. Your life changing experience about 9/11 brought me to tears. My husband and I are Christian Americans. He is a disabled veteran from the Air Force.
My husband received a job offer in Oman for DynCorp and we are currently discussing it. He has been living/working in Saudi Arabia for the last 2 years with the Royal Saudi Air Force. I was there with him for one year and I loved it. He is dying to come back to the US but jobs are scarce and it’s just not what it used to be. I’m living in Columbia, SC with my kids at the moment and I’d love for him to accept the Oman position. Is there anything you could tell us obout Oman that would help in the decision process? The people, food, amenities, sights, schools, living conditions/family housing… Any information would be wonderful.
You can e-mail us at elijah.kristina@gmail.com
I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind Regards,
Kristina
Kristina,
Thanks for the lovely comment. I will send you an email as soon as I can. I think you and your husband would LOVE it here in Oman. I know I do! Many blessings! You can expect a message in your inbox in the next few hours!
Andy,
Great! I look forward to hearing back fom you! Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions
Kristina,
My pleasure! Keep me posted. Many blessings to you and the family!
Hello Andy – I am an American Christian and I will be traveling to Oman 11/9/2010 through 11/21/2010. I would just like to have a fellow Christian to be able to touch based with if need be. Would you please contact me.
Thank you
Jan
Hi, Janice!
SO nice to hear from an American Christian. It’s 1am here on the 11th of November so I guess you’ll be arriving sometime today. It would be nice if you could make it to Friday worship service (9am at Ghala is the best). You can reach me at 96298119. Hoping you have a blessed trip in the Sultanate!
Greetings in the name of the LORD!
