have you notice the name JOBARITES, (descendents of Job) on this map? I believe this map was created in the 2nd century AD.
Intrestingly Iram was relative of Job. This name is mentioned only once in the Bible.
Iram was grandson of Esau/Edom.
” 40 These were the chiefs descended from Esau, by name, according to their clans and regions:
Timna, Alvah, Jetheth, 41 Oholibamah, Elah, Pinon, 42 Kenaz, Teman, Mibzar, 43 Magdiel
These were the chiefs of Edom, according to their settlements in the land they occupied.”
However, I agree that Ubar is not the original location of the City of Iram. The city is still hidden under the desert sand north of Ubar, and ”Anyone who tries to find the road to Ubar will go crazy.” You can talk about it with Dr. Zarins, about his “experience” in the sandy desert of Empty Quarter.
One MAJOR problem with your whole “that IS the tomb of Job in Salalah theory”…
Job lived before the great flood. The entire earth is not what is was like before the time of Noah. To say that we KNOW where Job is buried (and even have his footprint next to a footprint of a donkey!!!) is ridiculous. Case closed! :-)
